Joe Mihevc's Voting Record:

Votes supporting the community position: 5
Votes against the community position: 0

The voting record of Joe Mihevc was one of the best in the last council. Often underestimated, he has done more to promote a green Toronto than any other councillor and he is not afraid to take heat for controversial projects. He supported the plan to convert the Wychwood TTC barns in this ward into an artist co-op, and he persuaded McDonald’s to abandon their plans for a drive-thru in his ward. Mihevc holds key positions on the two most important committees of council: the Budget Committee and TTC. That is no accident. With David Miller as mayor, Mihevc will find his voice as an influential, progressive force in the city.

Joe Mihevc is Chair of the Nominating Committee, Vice-Chair of the Toronto Transit Commission, Vice-Chair of the Budget Advisory Committee and the Vice-Chair of the Community Services Committee. He is also a member of the Toronto Board of Health.

Home to Forest Hill, Ward 21 is one of the wealthier wards in the city, with an average household income of $88,203, compared to a Toronto-wide average of $69,125. However, the ward also has a high number of renters, with 60.1% of residents living in rental units.
